About Us

Susan and I purchased the historic Main Street Inn Bed and Breakfast in 2016, the same year we were married. We closed it for a year and did a total renovation and updating of all the rooms. We kept the bones of the building intact while replacing most all of the furniture and painting every flat surface! We think we have maintained the 19th century century character of the building while bringing it into the 21st-century with design and amenities.

Susan has been practicing internal medicine and pulmonary disease for more than 30 years in Ste Genevieve. I was a faculty member at Loyola University Chicago,Stritch School of Medicine for 40 years, retiring in 2020. We love our life in small town Missouri but equally enjoy travel throughout Europe and especially returning to Susan's native Ireland.

In 2021 we bought an abandoned factory building just three blocks from our Inn. Over the next year, we converted it into an upscale Antique Mall and now features 170 booths. We've also added PJs wine and coffee bar inside the mall. It is a full service bar model after our favorite pub in Dublin. Inn guests are offered a free drink of their choice each other day. The mall has become the busiest retail store in our city. It is well worth a visit.
